(comment)	The description of the FET above is probably more graphic than technically accurate. The encapsulation is usually a thermosetting plastic, which would normally burn rather than spew out vapour. Maybe the guy was trying to describe it as having erupted. The pronunciation was given by a Japanese colleague.
