(comment)	now, wwwjdic does turn up 水商売　for "night life" ... but I understand this has a more restricted meaning than the general term I was looking for.  That is, personally speaking of course, I would not want to take my wife to a 水商売　establishment (as I understand the term), but I am looking for a term that includes something such as a Jazz club or some other type of live house.
