(comment)	透過 is one of those horrible words to translate. "Transmission" isn't actually wrong, 
but it seems to be no better than the least-misleading generic equivalent. Also, it doesn't appear in either of the "general" dictionaries I 
usually carry with me, although 透過率 turns up on the label on every pair of sunglasses. For that compound, I can't 
possibly take exception to either of the WWWJDIC translations: they're spot on. As for why 透過 doesn't appear in the general dictionaries, 
I suppose that's because it came into everyday use post-1890...

(comment)	The current definition, "patent royalty," is incorrect or at least it is only one definition in that a royalty is paid to a patent owner for the right to do what is covered by the patent but a fee is paid to the Patent Office for the goverment to issue or maintain a patent. The above dictionary published by the Japanese Patent Office did not list patent royalty as a definition.
