(comment)	I've always used this term to indicate (what we call in the States) a single-family home, as opposed to a townhouse or apartment. (I'm unfamiliar with the sense "isolated house" currently in JDIC--it seems to agree with Sanseido's "solitary house", but can't be sure what SSD means by that....)
     Also, romaji search for "ikkenya" doesn't quite work--does WWWJDIC have special romaji for 「ん」+「や」as opposed to 「にゃ」? (Maybe it should search both...?)
