(comment)	The original Latin entry did suggest what it was going to turn out to be, but my Latin is 40-odd years rusty (and never that good to start with), so I asked Space ALC for some English suggestions to add in, and they came up with that lot - except that "chamber" is mine, because I encountered 槽 in the context of an environmental test chamber (and the Latin is of course the original entry).
