(subtype) amend
(headw1) 間断
(kana1) かんだん
(reference) From the infoseek dictionary (http://jiten.www.infoseek.co.jp/Waei?
sv=DC&pg=jiten_wtop.html&col=WE):
かんだん 間断
・〜なく 《たびたび》continually; 《連続して》continuously; without
interruption [a break, a pause].
(comment) The English meaning given in edict is "(n) continuously; constantly". First off,
as far as I know, there can't be a noun that has the meaning of an adverb by
itself. The noun itself means something along the lines of "a break in time."
It only gets its adverbial meaning of "continuously" when combined with the
なく suffix. Keep up the good work, this dictionary is a great thing!
