(comment)	The current misleading gloss is "old and familiar".  It seems only to be the general appearance of something that needs to be familiar; the thing itself can be totally new to the viewer and still be 古めかしい.

(comment)	I had trouble looking for this word in the dictionary.  I did not think of searching for "hunt".  I searched for "job search" and some similar terms.  I suggest adding "job search" or "searching for a job" as an alternative definition for words returned by the search "job hunt".
These words appear on the second page of the search "job", so maybe this is not necessary.
