(comment)	The amendment is the addition of the sense "to fade, come out", which was not obvious to me from the EDICT glosses when I encountered it in the above passage.
Glancing through GG5's entry, it might also be worth adding a gloss for the counterintuitive usage of おちる for "succeed" in examples like わが社の札が落ちた - it's not clear to me how this should fit in, though.
