(comment) I looked up 銀塩 (gin'en), which comes up as the prime kanji choice for the
phonetic input on my Mac OS X system and pasted it into your dictionary to
confirm that this was in fact "silver halide", as I had assumed from the
context and from my knowledge of Japanese. The dictionary does not
recognize this as a compound, even though it is listed prominently in the
Koujien, for example.
I find your dictionary quite remarkable and a great boon to me, professionally
