I could have submitted the expression 理性のタガが外れる instead (which would probably have translated better) but it isn't the sole usage.

Incidentally it (sadly) appears as if Yahoo numbers have started to become less stable.  The initial numbers were two to four times the above - but dropped when past the first page of results.
