(reference)	I read it in the japanese translation of Aldous Huxley's "Point-counterpoint". Where the original writes: "the heavy, pathetically uncomprehending stupidity that underlay the silence and the quotations" the translation writes: 「無口と引用癖の下に、野暮な、可哀想なくらい知性のない愚純さ」Google verifies it's use as a -na adjective.
(comment)	My IME doesn't have it and doesn't look a very common word, but it pissed me off not to find it on the JDIC so I felt obliged to submit it.
