(comment)	How did you miss this one??? From wikipedia: In Japanese chopsticks are called hashi, written 箸. They are also known as otemoto (おてもと), a phrase commonly printed on the wrappers of disposable chopsticks [like the ones around the pair that I used this evening at Pings Chinese in Venice, Florida. BTW Tsingtao (blue island) beer is now up to $US3.75; Budweiser is only $US3.25 ... inflation]

(comment)	The English meanings may want adjusting for part-of-speech.  Kenkyusha's glosses are "worthlessness; laziness; weakness; incompetence; wimpiness", with translations in the examples adding "poor excuse for ~" and "loser".
