(reference) (Name)
There are very few Arnquists in Japan. I use the small ィ: アーンクィスト when writing my name. I don't have a reference for my name in Japanese that can be found in the internet. My name in Japanese does appear in printed published form, however. I doubt it's handy, but if you can look at it, the name can be verified at the bottom of page 85 in "Speech Recognition Based on a Bayesian Approach" by Shinji Watanabe (February, 2006). The abstract is here: http://www.kecl.ntt.co.jp/icl/signal/watanabe/phd_thesis.htm
If you e-mail him (you can get the e-mail address by clicking back at the bottom of that page), he can send you a PDF copy electronically of the publication.
Greta Arnquist uses a large イ: アーンクイスト.

(note that it says Greta Arnquist is a teacher in Hamamatsu. The next link shows her name on a Hamamatsu school page in Japanese.)
