Up till now I've been viewing the auxillary ~いる as part of the inflection of the verb it is with.  
e.g. 来る(くる){来ている} and certainly not 来る(くる){きて} 居る(いる){いる]
However this is tricker with some entries where there are other particles stuffed in the middle.  The occasional は and も are one thing, I finally threw in the towel over sentences like 
うちの息子は遊んでばかりいる。
My son is just idling.

Anyway for now I shall index records like that to this kana only 'いる' entry and leave it to you to contemplate.
