(headw1)	追求
(kana1)	ついきゅう
(pos1)	n
(comment)	追求 【ついきゅう】 (n,vs) investigation; close enquiry; close inquiry; pursuing (goal)
Interesting enough, this entry is not to be found under the English query of "pursue", though it is routinely used, very accepted, very understood and very much a "catch-all" expression for "pursue", e.g. "pursue a goal", etc.
I notice many other word forms which are in common usage not properly entered under a noun (pre-eminent in Japanese) but often incorporated only within certain arcane phrases/expressions. Also, the marker of P many times is embedded within a Kanji reading and in no way indicates the importance of the word/expression lest one look hard.
