(comment) The JMdict entry for キャロット has two sections - "carrot" and "calotte". The latter is presumably a French word, since the section contains fr:. But unless I'm mistaken, the "carrot" sense of the word is of English origin. Since the section is outside the sections, there's no way of indicating this split relationship in the existing JMdict structure. Moving the and sections inside the section would fix the problem, but not efficiently because it would involve making extra copies of and sections in thousands of other entries. So just as a suggestion, you might want to consider introducing a tag to indicate these rekationships in sections. Here's an example:

After a quick check, I found a few other entries besides キャロット where this problem might occur: アミ, コロン, パテ and ビス (I think the meaning "second" is from Latin, not French, as in semel, bis, ter, quater, quinquies, etc.)
