Although the "rendering" given in all dictionaries for 無神論者 is "atheist", I think it might be more accurate to add, as I did in my list, "a person with no faith or belief system". Now, see how pedantic I can be!

As a symbolic-logic guy, I don't think I like this rendering. I changed it in my list to "all the points in question". It's a bit more uniform with 論点 being rendered as "point in question (at issue)". Please feel free to disagree.

I know I have been "educated" before on this but I must maintain that I have trouble with はくしろんぶん as a reading. Nobody, I repeat nobody, at Kyoto University, where I talked for hours (can you imagine me talking for hours?) ever mentioned such nonsense nor did they mention はくし in lieu of はかせ. I must stand my ground here in the same way that I refuse, completely refuse, to use 外来語. Instead, I get a really dumb look on my face (can you imagine?) and request they please speak "proper" Japanese.
BTW, I see はかせろんぶん as the initial reading. Perhaps an Oops! or an endorsement of the way Japanese people "actually speak"?

Oh, please dear God, can we not do better than "defense speech"? I would suggest the equally lame "rebuttal in debate" as an alternative, though I am not proud of this offering.
