(pos1)	n
(comment)	逆立つ 【さかだつ】 (v5t) to stand up; to oppose
Am I correct in assuming this rendering is even remotely correct, given the redundant following:
幽霊を見た時、私はとても恐くて頭髪がさかだった。 [T]
When I saw the ghost, I was so frightened that my hair stood on end.
The cat's fur stood on end.
His hair stood on end.
It made my hair stand on end.
The only usage I have ever seen/heard is 逆立ち which means "standing on one's head", "headstand" not being a word I ever heard.

(pos1)	n
(comment)	窮すれば通ず 【きゅうすればつうず】 (exp) Necessity is the mother of invention
Ok, here I go again: This is a rendering that should be in the crapper! (the example sentence with it). Literally, "it means that in dire straits there can be no progress" Gotta right that down. It's so profound.

(pos1)	n
(comment)	新発見 【しんはっけん】 (n) new discovery; new invention (NB: User-submitted entry, awaiting verification)
BTW, you can put 新 in front of almost anything as with 新発売. Just my feeling from this submission, it is 外人臭い and therefore worthy only of curiosity.
