CommentAgain, this idiom is found as a subentry under 優劣 in 三省堂提供「EXCEED 和英辞典」. However particle usage seems to be variable. In 三省堂提供「EXCEED 和英辞典」the entry is for 〜がつけがたい. In 三省堂提供「大辞林 第二版」the usage example is「―をつけがたい」. And the Tanaka Corpus sentence has no particle, as shown above.
