The borrowed word "half" is used instead, and such offspring are desired as models in Japan, Hong Kong, and throughout Asia. Here is what I put in my list, if it helps, 1) 混血 こんけつ kon-ketsu = mixed race (literally means “mixed blood” such that nowadays it should never be applied to people, only dogs and other animals) 2) 混血児 こんけつじ kon-ketsu-ji = child of mixed race (vulgar) I know we "been there, done that" but the problem persists, with only one sens marker. |
