Current Entryちゃん /(n) (uk,arch,abbr) (sl,chn) pa/daddy/TempSUB/
Headword 1
Reading 1ちゃん
Part-of-speechn

English 2daddy
English 3TempSUB
Referencehttp://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/search.php?MT=ちゃん&kind=jn&mode=0&base=1&row=1
Commentちゃん (n) suffix for familiar person; (P)
ちゃん (n) (uk,arch,abbr) (sl,chn) pa; daddy

Having the two of these is going to cause indexing trouble. Every ○○ちゃん will turn up as an [EX] for the archaic version.

Given the (uk) and the kanji 父 given in the dictionary ref it is probably best off with 父 as the headword.

P.S. Surely the 二人称 should be (n-suf) ?
NamePaul Blay
Submission Typeamend
Editorial Comment I combined the two ちゃんs, so I think you won't have an indexing problem, but you may want to note they are sense #1.
I dunno about n-suf for 二人称. What about 二人称で書く or 二人称代名詞?

Headword 1土俵
Reading 1どひょう
Part-of-speechn
English 1arena, esp. in sumo
English 2sandbag
ReferenceDaijirin, Genius JE2, Henshall's /A Guide to Remembering Japanese Characters/
CommentAccording to the Daijirin, this word means an arena in general. However, other Daijirin entries that mention 土俵 talk about it in the context of Sumo, and both the Genius JE2 and Henshall give the definition as a sumo wrestling ring, not any other kind of arena. The sandbag definition comes from both Henshall and the Daijirin, and appears to be the meaning from which the "sumo wrestling ring" meaning was derived. However, I'm not sure to what extent it's still used with that meaning today.

ReferenceThe following web page supports the above amendment.

I've also added the "play truant" meaning which is found there.
CommentAs far as I know, ずらかる isn't particularly "slang". It implies running away or escaping after having done something wrong. I've seen this word in lists of "housou kinshi yougo", here is one more I found on the web:

http://monoroch.net/gallery/kinshi/

I'm not sure why it's forbidden, but it comes up in film subtitles sometimes. Always interesting to see words in the submissions list which I had no idea were not already in Edict.
