しかし城にたどりつくなり、近衛兵を率いた人によって、わたしはこの牢獄に勾引されてしまった。
Comment(2) and (3) are presumably from a different word but having no kanji to distinguish them would lead to indexing problems if they had separate entries. According to the dictionary entry it is possible that (2) and (3) are originally derived from 成, but I'm dubious that assigning that as the kanji would be appropriate.

Current Entry冷暖房 [れいだんぼう] /(n) air-conditioning/(P)/
Headword 1冷暖房
Reading 1れいだんぼう
Part-of-speechn
English 1air-conditioning
CommentI had a marvelously constructive debate with Makimoto in 1970, who eventually helped me make my way to Japan, regarding 冷暖房 meaning "air-conditioning". Technically that might be true, though in the US we have what is called "central air" (something not on the scene in the "technically advanced Japan") which incorporates both air-conditioning (cool) and heat. How it seems dictionaries have not so very evolved since those days. Upside: "Money to be made before I sleep", thanks to the lack of evolution of "dictionaries" in the past thirty years.
NameDennis
Submission Typeamend
Editorial Comment And your amendment is?
To me 冷暖房 means both heating and cooling; as does "air-conditioning" in English, although some people take it to mean (just) cooling. The GG5 entry seems to be written on this limited meaning of "air-conditioning".
