Current Entry網戸 [あみど] /(n) screen door/
Headword 1網戸
Reading 1あみど
Part-of-speechn
English 1screen door
CommentWhile I do not question 通信網, 鉄道網 or any of the other 網 derivatives, I must necessarily question why 網戸 does not warrant a P marker. One of the weaknesses of dictionary, Google, etc. searches, from whence cometh the annointing of P markers, is that they do not reflect what people actually say in "common-talk".
NameDennis
Submission Typeamend
Editorial Comment Yes, relying on written sources biases the outcomes. It's why 犬 got into the 当用漢字 and 猫 and 鍋 were left out, etc. etc.. As it happens 網戸 *does* get over 1M Googits, so I can uncontroversially promote it.
