Current Entry成らしめる [ならしめる] /(v1) (see なり;しめる) (arch,uk) to make become/to let become/TempSUB/FIX xref/
Headword 1成らしめる

English 1(しめる) (arch,uk) to make become
English 2to let become
English 3TempSUB
English 4FIX xref
CommentWell here I am passing on second-hand comments again.

Basically the gist seems to be that that 名詞 + ならしめる is from 成る + しめる as first suggested but in the case of 可能ならしめる (and presumably other adj-naru style words+ならしめる) that is not the case. Anyway I'm way out of my depth so my only suggestion is to dodge the issue by having the cross-ref only to しめる (and possibly dropping the kanji headword).

http://www.thejapanesepage.com/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=7&thread_id=7063

"Paulさん。

「○をN(に)ならしめる」(名詞(に/と)+なる+しめる)
だと「成る+しめる」だろうけど

Paulさんの質問の例だと
Shin1roさんのおっしゃるとおり形容動詞の
「可能なり+しめる」だと思いますよ。
(「可能に(と)ならしめる」ではないから。)

でないと「たらしむ(たらしめる)」の説明がつかないと思う。"

English 5TempSUB
CommentIs the use of (abbr) appropriate when a one-mora の/ぬ/に is being 'abbreviated' into a one-mora ん ?

We don't have an entry for V〜ぬ so I'm not sure we should have an entry for V〜ん. 〜ぬ is covered by the verb table, 〜ん could be included as an additional note

"(x) the -ぬ, sometimes -ん, is an archaic form of -ない that may be encountered in very formal written Japanese."

or similar

(3) Should probably have a (See also の) if used.
The の entry will show up in a search on ん anyway.
