i think the second sense should be removed, but personally, i don't think there's a problem with leaving this word in with the first sense only. both kojien and daijirin list this word alongside their 亭主の好きな赤烏帽子 entry.

Current Entryいすか /(n) crossbill/
Headword 1いすか
Part-of-speechn
English 1crossbill
CommentRegarding ...
"delete. edict already has another entry for this word."

This entry, along with a handful of others, are required for technical reasons. Basically because Edict itself is not (yet) fully Unicode supporting. So you need

鶍 [いすか] /(n) crossbill/ <- entry with not-fully supported character
and
いすか /(n) crossbill/ <- kana only version

Jim could no doubt give more (and more accurate) details.
NamePaul Blay
Submission Typeamend
Editorial Comment Correct. I have now added 交喙 to the kana-only version. The two can be merged when we get to the New Database.

CommentWording could be improved but this is the best I can come up with at the moment.

Used
- Literally with, for example, strong lights
- With magic tricks and sleight of hand where you aren't seeing what you think you are.
- Metaphorically with methods of concealing the true state of affairs or distracting one from what's going on.

"shell game" is a rather specific example of just one of those.
NamePaul Blay
Submission Typeamend
Editorial Comment Combining GG5 and Daijirin I put:
(1) smoke screen/dazzler//distraction/(2) camouflage/deceptive means/ (3) magic/witchcraft/sleight of hand/(4) shell game/

Current Entry百匁 [ひゃくめ] /(n) five-sixths of a pound/
Headword 1百匁
Reading 1ひゃくめ
Part-of-speechn
English 1five-sixths of a pound
Commentひゃくもんめ is the more 'proper' reading for 百匁 but it is also abbreviated to ひゃくめ, notably when used as part of names. e.g. 百匁柿
http://homepage2.nifty.com/f-mk-musashiya/persimmon.htm
百匁蝋燭
http://obousan.hp.infoseek.co.jp/rousoku.htm
百匁そば
http://www.kanachushoji.co.jp/store/kodawari.html

There is at least a slight indication that it is may be used outside of names.

http://homepage3.nifty.com/mmij/3_mag/110/6_bell/index.htm
命より大切にしていた百匁(ひゃくめ)(価格が銀百匁)ほどの銀煙管(きせる)を浅草川(隅田川)へ落とし

I would suggest keeping 百匁 with some sort of irregular tag and having a separate entry for
百匁(ひゃくもんめ) (See also) 375g/one hundred monme
to reduce confusion.
NamePaul Blay
Submission Typeamend
Editorial Comment OK. I'll put in 百目 as a separate entry, flag the ひゃくめ reading of 百匁 as irregular, and xref them to each other. I'll also tag 百匁 as "arch".
