If someone was to suggest that a golf shot was "a miracle" that would seem to me to indicate that luck was heavily involved. 神業 is used to strongly praise the skills of the person who carries out the 神業 so I don't think the existing gloss is suitable. Not saying that mine is the best though. |

I think it's like English where "miracle" and "miraculous" _literally_
mean divine intervention, but we use them quite freely. GG5 has
"〔神のしわざ〕 a [the] work of God; divine work; (奇蹟) a miracle; 〔超人的な行為〕 a superhuman feat."
