Editorial Comment AFAIK his name has an umlaut on the "o", and "oe" is the preferred way of writing it if \{o:} is not available. I have added Shrodinger as an alternative.

CommentI've always thought that たんと is a 関西弁 word. But neither 大辞林 nor 大辞泉 specifically states so. Could anyone find out that it is also considered part of the 標準語・共通語 vocabularly?

聖痕 [せいこん]
(stigma) カトリックで、キリストが十字架刑で受けた傷が聖者の身体にあらわれるという超自然的現象。アッシジのフランチェスコのものが有名。スティグマ。

http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/search.php?MT=%C0%BB%BA%AF&kind=jn&mode=0&base=1&row=0
CommentI'm not completely sure about this, but stigmata seems to carry a distinct religious meaning (according to online dictionaries anyway), while the singular stigma can mean a lot of things...

also, accroding to 大辞林, 傷痕(しようこん) also carries such a meaning. I have no information on how often it is used in that meaning, so decided to submit no changes to 傷痕.

Editorial Comment Googling for __define: stigmata__ is very instructive.
