CommentTasty... ^^

瓢簞 is also given on the wiki article, but the form doesn't seem to accept it. It appears to be more of a Chinese thing, actually, but it does turn up a VERY small number of J-pages (less than 200). The second kanji isn't even in the database here.

Editorial Comment That 2nd kanji is UCS7C1E. Not in JIS208/212. It got into JIS213.

Headword 1像主
Reading 1ぞうしゅ
Part-of-speechn
Miscobsc
English 1(1) subject (of a portrait or bust); a person posing for a portrait or bust
English 2(2) (historically) patron; someone who commissions a Buddhist temple or work of art
Reference(for the first definition)「そこに造形化された本人(これを像主という)」
http://www.um.u-tokyo.ac.jp/museum/ouroboros/03_02/shouzou.html
(for the second definition) http://www.aisf.or.jp/~jaanus/deta/z/zoushu.htm
CommentTom Gally gives "a person who is the model for a portrait, sculpture, etc.", but I fear this is too general. The term seems to be strictly used for models of portraits and busts (except in its historical usage). "Subject" is thus more appropriate.

Editorial Comment I'll mark it "iK". I think it's a bit of a play-on-words.
