Comment | submitting mainly for the new kanji and to suggest that something be done to reconcile with:
˵ ¡Ú¤ï¤¡Û (n) side; besides; while i.e., add ¦ as a headword and potentially merge with with this entry. not 100ure, but quite sure that "besides/while" should be removed. (perhaps submitted as due to incorrect-okurigana confusion with ˵¤é->˵?) the new ˵;¦¡Ú¤ï¤¡Ûmight also be merged with either ¦(P); ˵ ¡Ú¤½¤Ð(P); ¤½¤¯(¦); ¤Ï¤¿¡Ûor ¤«¤¿¤ï¤é¡Ú˵¤é¡¦¢§ÚÕ¡¦¢¦Â¦¡¦¢¦ÏÆ¡Û |

This one is quite a mess. The modern JEs all fix on ÏÆ for "side" and
æþ for under-the-arm. In fact the latter seems to be usually just ¤ï¤.
Having said that, ÏƤβ¼ is four times more common than æþ¤Î²¼; ¤ï¤¤Î²¼
is somewhere in between.
I'll extend the ÏÆ entry, bringing in ˵, etc, but leave ¤½¤Ð/¤½¤¯/¤«¤¿¤ï¤é/etc. alone for now. |
