OK, I had another, more thorough, go through (I also split up the pos between senses). Looking at the 大辞林 entry ��(1)物を組み立てて、一つのまとまった組織・構造物・文章などを作り上げること。組み立て。構え。構成。 This corresponds to sense (5) (above). As could be expected for an (arch) we have no example sentences for it, and I've moved it to the end of the entry. It gets the (n) from the pos. (2)特に、善美を尽くして物を作ること。また、そのもの。 Not reflected in the current Edict entry. Searching on "結構を尽くした" gets very few hits so it is probably (obsc). (3)計画。企て。もくろみ。 Not reflected in the current Edict entry. probably (arch). (4)準備。用意。したく。 Not reflected in the current Edict entry. probably (arch). Now on to the adj-na ones. �� (1)すばらしくて難点がないさま。 Corresponds to (1) above. I think this is usually used as 結構な and there are three examples I would tentatively classify under this sense. たしかに出生率の低下で子供の数が減り、学校でも生徒の数が少なくなっているのは事実ですが、しかし、これはまったくもってけっこうなことです。 It's true that there are fewer children due to the falling birthrate, and there are fewer children in the school, but that is all to the good. 見た目には優しそうだけど、彼って皆から外柔内剛の結構なタフネゴシエータと言われているよ。 He seems like a softy on the surface. (4)気立てのよいさま。お人好し。 Not reflected in the current Edict entry. probably (arch). Now down to the (adv) one. �� 十分とはいえないが、ある程度要求にこたえているさま。 「―役に立つ」「―おいしい」 Corresponds to (4) above. I make it 22 sentences for this sense. After there were a dozen or so that I was unsure of but fit into one sense or another. I'll send in another update in a day or two so you can consider the 'evidence'. |
