Reading 3サザエ
Part-of-speechn
English 1(uk) turban shell (any mollusc of the family Turbinidae, esp. the horned turban, Turbo cornutus)
Referencekoj, daijr, daijs, wiki
Commentno kokugo dictionary has 蠑螺, but it's in kojien's kanwa-jiten entry for 蠑 as さざえ and it gets a few google hits, mostly for place names. 栄 is most likely just used in its place as a simplified version

anyway, all kokugo dics have 拳螺 for kanji, and the さざい reading (which is limited to 栄螺 only)
