Added (17) from
(1)論議・審議の対象にする。
「この問題を会議に―・ける」「被告を裁判に―・ける」

I think (17) may be similar enough to "to present (e.g., idea to a conference, etc.)" to merge them, if you disagree split them out again.

One example indexed to 17, two to the new 裁判に掛ける entry.

Added (24) No examples for it, all covered by other individual entries but probably worth having as it is quite a common construction.

Editorial Comment Unless you ask for "Limit matching to the start of words (kanji keys only)", you get them in the order they were sorted, i.e. the characters *following* the 位置 determine the order. Since the space character sorts to the front, in this case 位置 solo doesn't come first as it's in there as "位置(P))".

But it did, at least when I tried it.

"I would think we would go from base form to compounds."

There is a 'feature' (I think known) where kanji headwords marked with a (P) do not register as 'exact match' and so are not filtered to the top of the results list. For example a search on 引く finds it on the _third_ page of results.
NamePaul Blay
Submission Typeamend
Editorial Comment The pulling of "(P)" entries to the front only happens when you choose a key in hiragana. I just noticed a bug in WWWJDIC that stopped 引く showing up under "first kanji" conditions. It came about because the first occurrence of 引く in the indices for that entry occurred in a cross-reference. I have fixed it by stopping the indexing of Japanese words after the first "/" in an entry.

Comment"Where does 元 come into this entry?"
>From the previous amendment where I got "(sometimes written 元)" added.

Just to clarify, I first thought that in phrases like 博士の元で this entry's word was being written as 元. I'm not saying that I was necessarily wrong however it occurred to me (and was the point of the second amend on this entry I submitted) that instead of this entry 'working under' it could be the new sense I suggested for the main 元(もと) entry e.g. '(working) at the location of'.

I picked 博士の(下/元)で as the phrase as I would have thought that to be most likely to match the "(working) under " meaning. But, like I said, I'm not so sure now.
