according to this page: http://www.mymusicclass.com/recorder/Theory/Theory1.htm RE - MI - FA - SO - LA - TI - DO - RE = Dorian and SO - LA - TI - DO - RE - MI - FA - SO = Mixolydian so: ΧÀû = Dorian ²«¾âÄ´ = A Dorian È×¾ÄÄ´ = B Dorian Ê¿Ä´ = E Dorian ϤÀû = Mixolydian °í±ÛÄ´ = D Mixolydian ÂÀ¿©Ä´ = E Mixolydian ÁÐÄ´ = G Mixolydian |

Editorial Comment | Well, I liked your earlier amendment to ΧÀû better. I don't think ΧÀû is the Japanese word for the Dorian mode - that's ¥É¥ê¥¢¥ó. I'd go along with "(equivalent to Dorian mode)". But I recall reading that ΧÀû was pentatonic scale, and the document at www.tc-helicon.com/media/Intonator_HS_JP(2).pdf shows it as 5 notes. |
