Comment | I am in uncharted water here, because this is not an expression I use. So please forgive. However, with regard to the following: I do not find most of the そうはん readings anywhere and only a couple (相反定理 and利益相反) are barely mentioned. neither of which I am familiar with. The only readings that comes up with very limited frequency are あいはん.

GG5 has quite a large entry for 相反/そうはん, and lists the following
相反則 【写真】 the law of reciprocity; the reciprocity law. 相反則不軌 《compensate for》 reciprocity law failure. 相反定理 【物】 the 「reciprocity [reciprocal] theorem. 相反的 reciprocal 《effect》. It seems to be a rather technical term, and the 熟語 get small numbers of WWW hits - in the low thousands. |

http://www.geocities.jp/a5ama/e048.html |

Since it's the passive form of 襲う, I'm not surprised. 広辞宛 doesn't
include 襲われる, presumabaly for that reason. GG5 *does* have it:
"be attacked; be set upon; be struck; be visited."
If someone wants to put in an entry, I won't object (hint.) |
