Comment仇; 敵 are combined into one entry, but 敵討ち and 仇討ち are in separate entries. I think they could be made consistent (e.g. both merged or both separate).

Reading 1とうけいがく
Part-of-speechn
English 1(the study of) statistics
CommentWhat is given to mean "statistician" elsewhere and what certainly does not ring true with me (too gakusha-kusai) is 統計学者. We need an entry for "statistician" but I cannot suggest anything more than what I would normally say which would be "toukei wo bunseki suru senmonka" -- hardly correct but a whole lot more "natural" and to the point than 統計学者 which basically means someone who is an expert/student of statistics as an academic discipline. Help! (Btw, I am 3 months older than our fearless leader; hence the joke in a prior submission)

CommentI'm sure that no matter how I say this it will come out wrong so I'll just be my same ole direct self. This rendering is why I so eschew dictionaries and hence why I won something of a (well paid) reputation as an accurate translator/interpretor - because I overrode dictionaries. 示す, from which this noun form derives, is an extremely simple and common verb meaning to "point out". Please understand, then, that although this horridly misleading and meaningless rendering can be justified (actually it's been lifted word for word from other dictionaries), a guileless user of Edict might be legitimately "quandaried" by any attempt to find a relationship between "discipline" and "revelation". I know I can't. Please understand I am not trying in any way to be antagonistic here but I think a word deserving a P marker deserves a bit more precise and concordant rendering. Without context I am unable to say what it 示し means as a stand-alone noun.
