Headword 1
Headword 2
Reading 1
Part-of-speechn
English 1earwax
CommentSince 耳屎 literally means "ear shit", we might want to attach a "sens" label. For what it's worth I only use the 屎 component when I wish to render a word a pejorative and I am speaking with college students, who themselves can be quite crude.
NameDennis
Submission Typeamend
Editorial Comment Does it really need "sens"? 耳垢 or 耳あか seems more common.

Headword 1
Reading 1
Part-of-speechn
English 1circulatory system
CommentNow this one is really difficult. Technically 循環系統 could be applied to blood circulation (possibly misunderstood without context) but also air circulation, water circulation (as a coolant) and probably more that I'm not aware of. I wonder if we shouldn't qualify it (per the above) and add an entry 血液循環系 for (blood) circulatory system. Just a thought.
NameDennis
Submission Typeamend
Editorial Comment Kenkyusha has:
循環系(統) 〈血液・リンパ液の〉 the circulatory system
I'll qualify 循環系統 and 循環系 with "(blood, lymph, etc.)". At present JMdict has: 血液循環 (けつえきじゅんかん) (n) blood circulation. Is an entry for 血液循環系 needed?

Headword 1
Reading 1
Part-of-speechn
English 1cardiovascular disease
CommentI think we could just lop off the first component 心血管 and create a new entry "cardiovascular" (heart-blood vessel) and then add 系統 to create another entry meaning "cardio-vascular system" 心血管系統. I guess I could be labelled a mere "rationalist" here, hopefully no worse.
NameDennis
