It looks like this was only half-updated. (1) should be a (n) not a (suf) going by Rene's suggestion.

Comment射す [さす] /(v5s) to shine/to strike/(P)/

(4) is certainly both 射す and 差す
I'm not sure where 'to strike' came from, or fits in.
If 射す only applies to (4) it is probably best keeping a separate 射す entry with a (See ) link.

Editorial Comment GG5 combines 差す and 射す, but then uses 差す in all the examples apart from the "shine" one, in which it uses kana. Koujien just says 「射す」とも書く) for the "shine" sense. I think I'll keep them apart.

Current Entryアダルトチルドレン /(n) adult children (i.e. adult children of alcoholics)/TempSUB/
Headword 1
Part-of-speechn
English 1adult children (i.e. adult children of alcoholics)
English 2TempSUB
Comment>GG5 has "アダルトチルドレン adults who are morally immature." Surely that's a better gloss?

Hmmm. It might have that meaning as well (as a colloquialism?), but compare the definitions from kokugo dictionaries and Wikipedia.

Kojien:

Meikyo:
AC。

Infoseek:

Wikipedia:

And then there's this page (that the Japanese Wiki links to):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adult_Children_of_Alcoholics

Which matches Daijisen's definition well:

Perhaps GG5 just added their definition based on what they thought "adult children" *should* mean?
NameRene Malenfant
Submission Typeamend
Editorial Comment How about:
(1) people with mental or physical impairments due to ill-treatment in childhood by alcoholic, etc. parents (trans: adult children)
(2) (col) immature adults/childish adults/

(0)
Current Entryアダルトチルドレン /(n) adult children (i.e. adult children of alcoholics)/TempSUB/
Headword 1
Part-of-speechn
English 1(1) adult children (i.e. adult children of alcoholics)
English 2(2) childish adult (incorrect usage)
English 3TempSUB
CommentYup. There it was. From the Wiki page:

So if it's common enough to get a mention in Wikipedia and monopolize the entry in GG5, it's probably worth a mention.
