Headword 1¥¢¥À¥ë¥È¥Á¥ë¥É¥ì¥ó
Part-of-speechn
English 1adult children (i.e. adult children of alcoholics)
English 2TempSUB
CommentHow about:
(1) people with mental or physical impairments due to ill-treatment in childhood by alcoholic, etc. parents (trans: adult children)
(2) (col) immature adults/childish adults/

==

I'm not sure you'd actually want to pin it to "ill treatment". Using the word "dysfunctional" somehow might be better.

"Mental impairment" sounds iffy to me, for Canadians it refers to mental retardation, I believe.

And I don't think that "physical impairments" should be included at all. Meikyo mentions "physical abuse", but not "physical impairments".

Wikipedia's explanation seems good:
°ìÈÌŪ¤Ë¤ÏµÔÂԤ䥢¥ë¥³¡¼¥ë°Í¸¾É¤Î¤¢¤ëµ¡Ç½ÉÔÁ´²ÈÄí¤Ç°é¤Á¡¢¤½¤ÎÂ賤¬À®¿Í¤Ë¤Ê¤Ã¤Æ¤â¿´ÍýŪ³°½ý¤È¤·¤Æ»Ä¤Ã¤Æ¤¤¤ë¿Í¤ò¤¤¤¦¡£

Maybe:

"people psychologically traumatized from being raised in a dysfunctional or abusive family (i.e. with alcoholic parents) (trans: adult children)"
NameRene Malenfant
Submission Typeamend
Editorial Comment I'll go with that (-> e.g. by alcoholic parents). I'm sure there was a ¤Ê¤É in there.

Headword 1¥¢¥À¥ë¥È¥Á¥ë¥É¥ì¥ó
Part-of-speechn
English 1adult children (i.e. adult children of alcoholics)
English 2TempSUB
Commentand it might be better to put "abusive" before "dysfunctional", so i don't seem to be implying all alcoholics beat their children.

Commentactually, "bareback" might be a little on the direct/vulgar side. "unprotected" is probably better
