Headword 1含む
Reading 1
Part-of-speechv5m,vt
English 1(1) to contain
English 2to comprise
English 3to have
English 4to hold

Commenti can't really see any reason to remove it. kojien, meikyo, daijisen, shinmeikai, new century, progressive, and sanseido explicitly state "mouth". daijirin omits, but uses mouth in its only modern example sentence.

my modern japanese usage dictionary has only two senses:
■ ふくむ 【含む】
[1](成分、水分、ミネラル、ビタミン、食物繊維、ポリフェノール、塩、塩気、潮気、湿気、手数料、交通費、食事代、サービス料、諸手当、意味、問題点、可能性、響き、憂い、偽り、怒気、驚き、恥じらい、笑い)を含む
[2](食べ物、飲み物)を口に含む

Examples for sense 2 include:
・薬を口に含んだまま飲み込まずにコップの水を取る
・水を口に含んで気絶した人に吹きかける
・酒を口に含みじっくり味わう

the only thing i would change about this entry is to change sense 2 to put "in one's mouth" in parentheses or add a "usu. as 口に含む" note

and add a "vt" tag while we're in here

also, i'm not really sure sense 4 should be separate from sense 3. "to harbor (a grudge, etc.)" is not really much different from "to bear in mind". meikyo and kojien seem to combine

Something like this would be most similar to what the other waeis are offering:
1) to include
to contain
2) (also written as 銜む) to hold (in one's mouth)
3) to bear in mind
to keep in mind
to harbor (a grudge, etc.)
4) to express (an emotion, etc.)
to imply

Editorial Comment Insofar as 立教 can be translated, it means "established church". I'm not going to say it means "St Paul", because it doesn't. 上智 doen't mean "St Sophia" either.

Editorial Comment Happy with a 口に含む entry. I still want to keep sense 2 as-is, as I explained in yesterday's comments.

Editorial Comment What I have put is:
口に含む [くちにふくむ] (exp,v5m) to hold in one's mouth (without biting, before chewing or swallowing, etc.)/ And I have put an xref from sense 2 of 含む. I'll quote some sentences from JEs:
口に飯をいっぱい含んでいて話ができなかった. I could not talk with my mouth full of rice.
(ワインを)ひとくち口に含む hold one mouthful (of wine) in one's mouth.
Take some mouthwash and rinse one's mouth for 20 seconds.
Taking a mouthful of tea, I became aware of a gently permeating fragrance.
Obviously biting/chewing/swallowing can come afterwards.

Headword 1

CommentThe word appeared in this text: プレセオレテイカルな記号の芋蔓の誘うままに. The プレ in front presumably is perhaps pre-. I deduced a meaning like this: 'as it is, it invites one after another pre-theoretical signs'. That would seem to stack up in context, however...
Anyway, in searching for something which I could not find elsewhere, I tried your site and got the 'make a submission' so I hope that is helpful.
