Comment | This very common expression should "pop up" when the user English queries "Vacancy". I hear that our site is "not intended for English queries but rather for Japanese queries". Sorry but that's a bit lame. Translation: We need a proper database. |

Editorial Comment | Database is irrelevant in this case. What was needed was the adding of "vacancy" and "room to let" to the glosses. |

Comment | I hope that I have got the verb classifcation correct. I searched for the above in my reference books without success, but it does get quite a lot of hits on Google and it is shown when clicking on [A]. I have taken my own idea for the English meaning first, but the concept of 'to be in the melting' and 'it can change' 'it can differ' seem to come out from [A]. |

Comment | I am not sure whether this is the right way to come back, but I cannot find a way to come back on 'amend'. I have done some more research and the expression in the plural form seems to be all right and it get some hits on Google. For example: あのそこら中, which I take to mean 'that everywhere' or similar. そこら中 [そこらじゅう] also appears in the dictionary [Shogakukan] as a head word. Maybe, あのそこら中 should be included also. If I find any better reference, I shall come back. |

Editorial Comment | Well, I want to see (a) evidence that it is used commonly enough to warrant an entry (the first 20 Google hits were all on "あの, そこ"), and (b) if it does exist, a proper English translation; "that there" is horribly informal English. |
