| Comment | I don't want to make you grumpy Jimさん. I didn't think we needed to use a new line for every different translation. I thought that was just for very different meanings. I've followed your guidelines closely on this one, almost reusing the same words even (rice straw v. rice field).
I know that eijiro is not perfect, but it's often the only option. 大辞林 and 研究社 are better, but they don't have as many words. I try to only pick those translations that I'm reasonably sure are accurate (from seeing the word in context and such). |

| Comment | What is the combined jpn-english dictionary? I guess it's probably the combination of all the dictionaries on this site. If so, shouldn't you use this as the default option? Also, I noticed that it contained this word and many others, It seems somewhat pointless to enter words if they are already in the combined dictionary. |

I'd be more concerned about whether it makes a useful addition. It's quite a common phrase, but it's also a standard construction (I suppose 有する isn't what people think of using first?) Often used as ○○の資格を有する and also very often used as an (adj-f). On the whole I think I'd say no, but I could go either way. |
