Current Entryクールビズ /(n) (See ウォームビズ) COOL BIZ (Japanese government campaign encouraging companies to set their air conditioner thermostats to 28 degrees Celsius over the summer)/ (2154420)
Headword 1クールビズ
Part-of-speechn
English 1(See ウォームビズ) COOL BIZ (Japanese government campaign encouraging companies to set their air conditioner thermostats to 28 degrees Celsius over the summer)
CommentThe explanation doesn't make sense - why would it be called "cool biz" if they were telling people to put the thermostats to 28 degrees?

"Cool biz" actually refers to a dress code of not wearing ties and jackets during the summer.

I think the use of 分かりかねます in the above sentence may just be a polite way of avoiding saying 分かりません.

My impression is that 分かり兼ねる is more formal / bookish than 分かり辛い but (apart from euphemistic usage) otherwise has the same meaning.

Headword 1預言書

Part-of-speechn
English 1book of prophecy (e.g., in the context of the Bible)
ReferenceSee below
CommentI understand that 預言 is used in preference to 予言 for the Bible because the latter is simply prophecy/ prediction/ etc. Whereas, 預言 is perhaps more the concept of keeping or taking charge of the word of God. Perhaps the meaning of a prophet being entrusted with the word of God and, as in the above, a book of the Bible by one of the prophets. Your data base has reference to books of the Bible. There are many Google hits.
