Headword 1羊用
Reading 1ひつじよう
Part-of-speechexp
English 1For use of sheep
ReferenceSee below.
CommentI tried to find the reading for the above expression in many reference works [clearly it is too obvious even for a mention]. I discounted ようよう, but...
I could not find 羊用 [or ひつじよう] on your site, but there were lots of other entries where 用 was used as a suffix. Perhaps the above could be included. The difficulty which I see is the potential choice of several readings even for common kanji combinations so confirmatory help is valuable. It was not so much that 用 was in doubt, rather the reading of the kanji before it.
NameFrancis
Submission Typenew
Editorial Comment I really doubt the entry is needed. 用 is very productive as a suffix meaning "use".

CommentThough personal communications I have had this described as "「下線部」みたいなヤツの仲間". In other words, this noun indicates the line (itself) used in underlining and such. I tried to write the definitions as to allow this as well as the specific uses I've seen.
NameAlan Rominger
Submission Typenew
Editorial Comment The 部 shouldn't be in that entry, as it means "part". 下線部 means "underlined part".
