CommentOf course, this should be kept. It's in gg5 and it has 22 000 hits on Google.

If you want to make edict more beginner friendly, I suggest using Wakan and downloading the JLPT vocabulary files. It should give you pointers as to what words are more common. Of course, there's also the P tag. (and also don't forget to update the edict file for Wakan)

- most JLPT list around use EDICT for their glosses
- I'd be very reluctant to base "P" tags on JLPT listings.
