| Comment | I'm going to take a wild guess that some well-intentioned NNSJ sent this one in. I'm sure the Japanese don't have such a simple expression to represent an unfamiliar art form. There is an entry (勧善懲悪), which I kinda like, because it is more explanatory. As most of us know, the Japanese people either use the "borrowed word" or an explanation of a foreign concept. I think, then, I would eliminate this expression, because the user (NNSJ) will end up explaining it anyway. |

| Editorial Comment | Well 道徳劇 has an entry in the Japanese Wikipedia, and appears in GG5 and Eijiro, so I don't think it can/should be tossed out. Sure, it's the Japanese term for a European mediaeval art form, but that doesn't remove its validity. |
