Editorial Comment | S&H = Spahn & Hadamitzky (The Kanji Dictionary). For kanji where they couldn't find the meanings, they put in nonsense words such as "slithy" and "tove" from Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky. (The German edition used similar "words" from the Galgenlieder.) I thought it was a copyright trap, but Mark Spahn assured me it was just a joke. |
