I think that this should be cross-reference to the following entry:- 縮む 【ちぢむ】 (v5m,vi) to shrink; to contract; to diminish (in size); (P) Because the reading of the RH entry is, no doubt, based upon Hepburn by using 'ji' as Romaji for 'ぢ', the entry has been made as 'じ' so it has probably survived your automatic sweeping. Perhaps the entry should be maintained as others may search with 'ちじむ' [e.g., by simply following the Hepburn Romaji readings converted to kana]. To find 'ぢ' on my system I have to use 'di'. As a matter of interest to me, there seems to be loads of entries for strings where '縮' is included, which strings do not have a reading and I was wondering how they got included without the reading being put in at the time of entry. |

The "RH" file comes from Japanese sources, and that ちじむ is probably there to help people find the right kanji. I doubt Hepburn transcription came into it. Re "loads of entries for strings where '縮' is included..." Where? In the RH file? WI2? The latter is based on Japanese glossary sources which rarely bother to have readings. |

Wishbone seems to be a fair translation, and comes out in a backwards search (i.e. putting "wishbone" in Genius puts out this kanji). There is nonetheless a difference, since as the wikipedia article states, 叉骨 is the agglutination of the left and right 鎖骨. Not sure how specific you need the definition to be. |
