Current Entry従 [じゅう] /(adj-t,adv-to) (1) subordinate/secondary/junior/incidental/(n) (2) vassal/attendant/servant/ (2238270)
Headword 1
Reading 1じゅう
Part-of-speechadj-no,n
English 1(See 主) subordinate
English 2secondary
English 3junior
English 4incidental
Commenteven though it's often used as じゅうたる, all dictionaries avoid calling this adj-t/adv-to. it's probably considered the kind of -たる usage seen in this example sentence:

アメリカ人たる私は、リンカーンがすばらしい人だと思う。 I, am American, admire Lincoln.

i'm not sure about the 2nd sense. is it meant to be an (n) version of sense 1? or is it some kanwa stuff that slipped in there? i don't think this word usually applies to people directly as a noun, and it might have been entered here due to confusion with the other entries i'm about to add

also adding x-ref to its "antonym"
