Current Entry鬼ヶ島 [おにがしま] /Onigashima (u)/NA/
Headword 1鬼ヶ島
Reading 1おにがしま
Part-of-speechn
English 1Onigashima (u)
English 2NA
ReferenceSee below.
CommentWith reference to my submission [01/01/09] for the above headword, I noted that there was a WI2 entry as follows:-

鬼が島 【?】 {place} Demon's Island; WI2

Presumably this WI2 would be deleted by the sweeping device; save that with this reading (i.e., with 'が' in the middle) it would not be recognized and thus would not be discovered on the sweep.

CommentUsage seen in a 朝日新聞 shasetsu:
「働いてもまともな暮らしができないワーキングプアが急速に広がった。」

ALC's example sentences support this notion of "decent", "normal". (acceptable, passable, etc. I suppose, but "decent" seems to cover the meaning quite well)

Also, sense split between "the front" and the other meanings, which unless I am sorely mistaken, is always a noun.
