Comment | With reference to your comment "For a verb stem to be put in as an entry in it own right, I need to see good evidence of it being used a lot that way.", I was wondering if it would upset the RH system if, in stead of promoting the entry, there could be a cross-reference, for example:-
The "垂れ込め 【たれこめ】 (?) ???; RH" entry could be changed to: "垂れ込め 【たれこめ】 (?) hanging down (see 垂れ込める) ; RH" [Incidentally, I see that Rene has been making some amendments on the "垂れ込める" entries [13/01/09].] Such a change would give the novice who searches for "垂れ込め" the comfort of knowing that he or she is on the right track, plus a link back to the main verb form and the full explanation; as opposed to simply "???". Equally, if would save "垂れ込め" becoming an entry in its own right. Or maybe you could arrange just to promote the RH to an interim "rogue category" which you had once before thought about. |

Editorial Comment | The revhenkan (RH) file exists purely to help people find readings for jukugo that are not in the EDICT file. I can't see any useful purpose cross-referencing the 垂れ込め "entry" to the (real) 垂れ込める entry. |

Comment | The dictionaries which I have generally give 'taciternity' and 'reticence' as the principal meanings. The meanings are much the same, but different wording gives more help to the novice. |
